Programme Outline
This annual participation event provides recreational sporting activities for Physical Activity Leaders (PAL’s) within active retirement groups in the Mid-West region. Each year 20 PAL’s representing from each County Kerry, Clare, Limerick City & County and North Tipperary meet to experience new recreational sporting opportunities such as golf, target games and boccia as well as speed stacks and box hockey.
Programme Aims
- To link in with other LSP’s in the Mid West area to host an Older Adult Sports Fest for active retirement groups
- For PAL’s to interact with other PAL’s from neighbouring counties
- For PAL’s to gain new experiences in different activities

We were very grateful to be involved in this inaugural occasion and the organizers for giving us the opportunity. It was just a wonderful fun day from start to finish, with gentle banter between the different county. In a word a – TERRIFFIC – day out. Looking forward to next year already!!
