Programme Outline
The Go for Life programme is the national programme for sport and physical activity for older people. The programme gets older people more active more often. This is done through “Physical Activity Leader” (PAL’s) training. PAL’s lead their local group in activities such as short exercise routines, fun games, simple dances and sports.
Programme Aims
- To empower and enable older people to plan and lead physical activity sessions
- To show groups how to get more active, keep healthy and stay safe
Partner Support
This programme is rolled out in partnership with Go for Life and HSE Health Promotion Department and Kerry Recreation & Sports Partnership
Go for Life has been a great boost to our group. We do exercises every time we meet and they’re keeping us young!
