Part Time Caherciveen Community Sports Hub Co-Ordinator

The Cahersiveen Community Sports Hub (CSH) Co-Ordinator will work to support the development of the Dormant Account funded Caherciveen Community Sports Hub. The CSH Co-Ordinator will work with the Steering Group and the relevant organisations and individuals to continue to develop, co-ordinate and implement a comprehensive plan to promote, attract and develop the sustainable usage of a Sports Hub. The CSH Co-Ordinator will work closely with the Coláiste na Sceilige, South Kerry Development Partnership, Kerry Recreation & Sports Partnership, Kerry County Library Services, local sports clubs, local youth club and community based organisations to promote the school as a venue for sustainable community sport and physical activity participation.
Applicants should preferable have a level 6 qualification in Sport, Recreation & Exercise or minimum level 6 standard qualification with one years related experience in the field of sports/community development, experience of project management and of piloting, developing and delivering sustainable physical activity based initiatives, experience of the community and voluntary sector and the sports and recreation environment and of motivating those sectors with lower participation characteristics to become involved.
Applicants must hold a current full driving licence and have his/her own car and an ability and commitment to work unsociable hours. The contract period will run from August 2018 to July 2019. The position is part time (19 hours per week) and the successful candidate will be employed on a fixed term contract basis to July 31st 2019. The position will be based at the South Kerry Development Partnership office at West Main Street, Cahersiveen, Co Kerry.
Salary €17,263 (Being Pro-rata for 19 hours per week) per annum
